This site is dedicated to the tenets of Success and the power of “Today”.
Some of the principles espoused are listed below.
Success: Is a journey. Most all successful people and achievers have four things in common.
1. Passion: What do you love to do?
2. Vision: What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
3. Discipline: The follow through to get the job done.
4. Conscience: Doing what is right.
These four combine into our voice, described as our “unique personal significance”
The goal of this site is to help you find your own unique “voice”.
Many of these principles are covered in a book by Stephen Covey entitled “The 8th Habit”.
While these principles are the foundation of success, there is a creative force that ties in with our voice to make us unique. It’s a force that inspires us to do new and imaginative things. It’s called the I-force and consists of three creative tenets.
1. Information: The power of knowledge
2. Innovation: The creative power of modification
3. Imagination: The influence of great ideas
When you tie the structural force of your “Voice” and the creative power of the “I-force” you have a very unique individual. One that can creatively take on the challenges put before them. But there is one more element that must be in place to complete the success equation. That factor is “Time”.
If we don’t work in the proper time paradigm all our efforts will be fruitless. A simple acrostic explains the three aspects of time and our daily battle to secure it.
W- Wisdom: Knowledge gleaned from the past.
A- Action: Today is the only time we can act.
R- Road Map: Where we are going in the future.
Today is the only time we can accomplish anything. Yesterday is gone forever and Tomorrow is just a dream. We can’t control time and we can’t manage time.
1. We can only manage our actions today,
2. Learn lessons from yesterday
3. Plan a path today into the future tomorrow.
The acrostic W.A.R. describes our daily battle with negative forces that would steal our effectiveness. Procrastination and living in the past are common problems that move us out of an effective time strategy for our lives. Once we realize the power of “Today” we can truly be successful.
